Goldman Sachs leaves Russia due to Ukraine invasion

Goldman SachsAfter the invasion of Ukraine by Russia last month, the bank announced it was leaving Russia.

According to an email sent Thursday by the bank, it stated that Russia is under its control and was closing down all operations.

According to a spokeswoman for the bank, “Goldman Sachs will wind down its Russia business due to regulatory and licensing requirements.” We are focusing on helping our clients around the world in managing and closing pre-existing market obligations, as well as ensuring our employees’ wellbeing.
