VodafoneCNBC has been informed by the company that it is investigating allegations of data breaches made by hackers, who threaten to expose the source code for the telecommunications giant.

Lapsus$ surveyed their subscribers via Telegram to ask them: “What should leak next?” Then, there were three more options.

First option contains around 200 gigabytes of Vodafone source code. This poll closes March 13.

There are two other options: the source code, databases and source code of Impresa (Portuguese media corporation) and the source codes for MercadoLibre or MercadoPago (both Argentinian ecommerce companies).

Vodafone was 56% in the vote at time of publication.

CNBC spoke with a Vodafone spokesperson who said that they are aware of Lapsus$ claims.

We are currently investigating the claim with law enforcement and cannot comment on its credibility. The spokesperson stated that the claims referred to in the claim generally contain proprietary source codes and don’t contain customer data.

CNBC reached out to MercardoLibre, MercadoPago and for further information. Impresa’s website was unavailable and there wasn’t any contact information to be reached.

Lapsus$ was last week cited as the culprit in a Samsung data breach. obtained source codes of Galaxy-branded devicesLike smartphones. On Monday, Samsung admitted to the data breach. Lapsus$ was also responsible for the Nvidia data breach last month.

Vodafone was a victim of hackers. The company’s Portuguese division was attacked by hackers in February. This cyberattack disrupted the services of its customers. Vodafone claimed that no personal information had been stolen from customers at that time.
