YouTube, Google Play suspend payment-based services in Russia -Breaking

The company also announced that Google would halt ads targeting advertisers located in Russia on its networks and properties worldwide. The move is in addition the recent suspension of advertising in Russia by Google.

Russia-based YouTube channels are still able to make revenue through viewers from other countries. These include Super Chat, merchandise sales and merchandise sales. According to company support websites, Russia still has access to free apps from Google Play.
