Ukraine to start 2022 spring sowing in coming days

REUTERS/Valentyn Ogirenko//File PhotoLVIV (Ukraine) – Ukraine will sow spring crops in the next days, and there is enough wheat in stock to feed the entire population, Taras Vysotskiy, deputy agricultural minister, said Saturday.
According to him, the country has 6 million tonnes of stocks, despite its 8 million tonnes per year wheat consumption. Stocks include also 15 million tonnes corn and a 5-year supply of sunflower oils.
