Monero ($XMR), which is privacy-focused cryptocurrency was specifically designed to enable anonymous, untraceable transactions using various cryptographic technologies. Monero also undergoes frequent protocol updates to its mining algorithm and is continuously being improved.

Ring Signatures is the technology behind ensuring all of these transactions run efficiently. It’s also known as the Technology of Ring Signatures. Ring Signatures allow you to mix the digital signature of a user making an XMR Transaction with others, before recording it onto the Blockchain.

Pricing Updates

Monero ($XMR), has enjoyed a tremendous growth in value. This is what has made it one of privacy-oriented cryptos that has gained popularity.

If we look at the performance of the token over the past week, it’s evident that its 7-day bottom was March 7, when it fell to $153.75, while its high point was March 9, when it rose to $206.51.

Going over the token’s 24-hour performance, its low was at a value of $172.32, while its 24-hour high was at $197.04.

Recent developments

On January 6, 2022, we saw the release of the Monero GUI 0.17.3.1 ‘Oxygen Orion.’ There were numerous improvements made through this update, such as a fix of the startup crash on Apple (NASDAQ:) Silicon, a fix to the wizard password not resetting after wallet creation, update translations, and minor bug fixes and UI improvements.

A lightweight browser extension was shared by reemuru, a GitHub user. It provides a straightforward UI to a Monero wallet. Monero was also home to P2Pool, v1.8.

Cake Technologies has also released Monero.com v1.0.2/1.0.3/1.0.4, and Cake Wallet v4.3.6/4.3.7/4.3.8.

Hash Strongman has also included a Monero course to the Learn Crypto Course. There were four MoneroKon-2022 planning meetings in February.

RINO wallet also was launched. It is currently available in a public beta. It’s essentially an enterprise-grade Monero wallet with multisignature.

On March 3, PrimeXBT listed Monero (XMR) for live trading.

Future Events

Exodus Wallet will support Monero via Trezor Blockchain by June 2022.

Monerujo announced the funding of their SideKick project. We can expect an official announcement in the future.

Additionally, Haveno announced that they would become more decentralized and a key contributor to Monero’s development.
