Message from the Return to the Office Task Force

My dear colleagues

As we see more cases in the U.S. and less restrictions, COVID is becoming part of American life. We are now enjoying the energy and benefits of being in an office environment on a regular basis, as the virus is now less likely to be fatal.

While we are on our way to normalcy we thought we would look ahead to let you know the next steps in our COVID safety, health and security guidelines.

  • Masking will no longer be an option in the corporate offices. This applies to both vaccine- and non-vaccinated staff. There will be employees who choose to wear masks — and that is completely fine.
  • Other measures like mandatory testing of unvaccinated persons, and asking employees for COVID-19 information and contact tracing will be discontinued on April 4. These actions are consistent with CDC guidelines.
  • We will also discontinue hiring only vaccinated individuals as of April 4.

It will remain a top priority to keep your workplace safe and follow local laws. Some of our current practices and procedures will be maintained, as well as our continuously improved air filtering and cleaning standards.

  • New York City workers must meet their obligations. vaccination requirementsUnless the City raises the order.
  • The free home testing kit will be available for testing.
  • Please continue to respond. Vaccine Record Tool.
  • In accordance with CDC guidelines, our current quarantine and isolation guidelines will continue to be in force for the time being. Click hereCheck out our Guidelines.

We are reminded by this pandemic of the devastating effects infectious transmission can have upon others. It is vital that everyone does their part to ensure the safety of others in this new world. Please do not bring in anyone who has symptoms of COVID. If you are positive for COVID and have been in contact with close friends, you should use your good judgment to decide if they would like to hear.

Like we did from the very beginning, we will continue monitoring developments and be ready to reintroduce protocols and practices when necessary. For instance — masking requirements may return if there is another spike in cases, or a variant begins to spread that causes severe illness in the general population. However, this can only be done if strict criteria are met or the local or state government mandates it.

No one knew what the impact of the pandemic on families, communities and the economy would have in March 2020. Through our experiences, we have discovered new work methods and seen how resilient people can be when they come together.

We are now on our way to avoiding the pandemic. Thank you so much for your support.
