Pfizer to maintain drug supply to Russia -Breaking

(Reuters). -U.S. Drugmaker Pfizer Inc (NYSE 🙂 stated Monday it would continue humanitarian supplies of medicine to Russia, and that all its profits would be donated to organizations providing support for the Ukrainian people.
It stated that it would not continue with new Russian clinical trials and will stop recruiting for patients to its ongoing study in Russia.
As millions flee the Russian occupation, drug companies are trying to figure out how to help patients who are enrolled in Ukrainian clinical trials to get their medicine.
Russia refers to its actions in the past as a “special operation”.
Pfizer claimed that Russia’s voluntary suspension of medicine flow would “violate our fundamental principle of placing patients first”.
According to the drugmaker, it does not have or operate any Russian manufacturing facilities. It also announced that all plans for investments in local suppliers, to improve manufacturing capabilities in Russia, would be stopped.
Global corporations like McDonald’s (NYSE :), Nestle, and the video gamemaker Sony (NYSE) has decided to pull back from Russia in response to growing pressures from West consumers.
