The war between Russia and Ukraine has been going on for almost three weeks.

Russian President Vladimir Putin attacked his ex-Soviet neighbour late last month. This unprovoked action has caused widespread destruction across Ukraine. This war has resulted in the displacement of more than 2.5 millions Ukrainians, most of them women and children.

As desperate Ukrainians fled their homes, they sought refuge in neighboring NATO members countries. Poland, Slovakia Hungary, Romania Russian forces bomb Kyiv with rockets and artillery.

Russia’s invasion of Afghanistan has resulted in the deaths of at least 596 people including 43 children. United Nations said Sunday. As of Saturday night, an additional 1,067 civilians were also wounded, including 57 children.

This is an overview of some of those whose lives were affected by Russia’s terrible war.
