Binance awarded Crypto-Asset Service Provider License to the Kingdom Of Bahrain

Binance, the world’s leading blockchain and cryptocurrency infrastructure provider, today announces that it has been granted a crypto-asset service provider license from the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB). Binance is proud to announce that it was granted a license by The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf as a cryptoasset provider. This milestone achievement demonstrates Binance’s determination to be in compliance with regulatory requirements as the only company in the area.

Changpeng Zhao, founder and CEO at Binance (CZ), said:

“The licensing from Bahrain marks a major milestone in our quest to be fully licensed around the world. Team Bahrain’s visionary leadership, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Crown Prince and Prime Minster, is a credit to me for facilitating this accomplishment. The team in Bahrain is a great example of foresight and has provided the protection that crypto consumers have come to expect from regulatory bodies around the globe.
“I am proud of Binance’s hard work to fulfill the strict criteria of Central Bank of Bahrain. Not only locally, but worldwide. We ensure that regulators meet or exceed our requirements and provide protection for users through strong anti-money laundering policies and counter-terrorism financing.
Binance will be able to offer crypto-asset trading and custodial service to clients under supervision from the Bahrain regulators.

HE Rasheed Al Maraj was the governor of Central Bank of Bahrain.
