According to Breanna Centeno, Petty Officer Third Class Breanna Centeno, the Coast Guard was notified Sunday that Ever Forward had been grounded. They are now performing checks every 4 hours to make sure the safety of all marine life and crew.
Coast Guard officials say the vessel isn’t blocking traffic from other containers ships and that it is not in the way of any canal.
Evergreen Marine representatives could not be reached immediately for comment.
