As Russia invades Ukraine, NATO’s 30-member countries have been informed by foreign and American officials that the missiles fired from just miles away from Poland are reaching their doorsteps, they will be discussing meeting in Brussels next week.

This meeting would be deemed “extraordinary” because it does not fall within regularly scheduled engagements. It would align with White House tentative plans to President Joe BidenTo travel to Europe

Officials said President Biden’s trip and NATO meeting are still in the planning stages. They asked not to be identified because they don’t know the details.

NATO nations have formed stronger bonds in the wake of Russia’s provocative attack against Ukraine. The high-level meeting could serve as an opportunity to demonstrate force at NATO level. In the event of an accidental fire, America has pledged that it will defend all members of NATO.

“The United States will cooperate with our allies in defense of every inch NATO territory,” Jake Sullivan, the National Security Advisor stated on Sunday’s Face the Nation interview. And if NATO territory is attacked militarily, Article Five would be invoked and all the force of NATO would be used to respond to the attack.

In the last weeks, Sullivan has been joined by Vice President Kamala HarrisSecretary of State Antony Blinken; Defense Sec. As the Russian offensive continues, Gen. Lloyd Austin has visited Europe with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Gen. Mark Milley. They were there to strengthen relations.

On Wednesday, NATO defense ministers will meet
