Tesla hikes car prices in the U.S., China after Musk inflation warning

Tesla didn’t give any explanation for these increases. CNBC reached out to the company for clarification but they were not available immediately.
But Musk said in a tweet earlier this week that Tesla and his space exploration company SpaceX have seen “significant recent inflation pressure in raw materials & logistics.”
Material such as nickel is a crucial component in electric vehicle battery batteries are on the rise.

Tesla China listed Tuesday’s starting price for the Model 3 performance at 367.900 yuan (57.648). The South China Morning Post reported that the Model 3 Performance’s starting price was 367,900 yuan ($57,648). The price of 10 was 349.900 Yuan, after an earlier increase on that day.
The Model Y Long Range in China now costs 375,900 yuan — up from the previous price of 357,900 yuan. Model Y Performance currently costs 417,900 yuan as opposed to 397,900 yuan.
