Wholesale inflation climbed 0.8% in February, slightly lower than expectations

Labor Department data Tuesday shows that another spike in energy prices caused wholesale goods prices to experience their largest one-month increase in two months.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, final demand prices rose by 2.4%, which is the highest monthly increase in goods prices since December 2009 data.
The headline producer price index climbed 0.8% in the last month. This was slightly higher than the Dow Jones estimate of 0.9%.
Core PPI was 0.2% higher than the expectation, excluding food, energy, trade and services.
