(Bloomberg] — After Sarah Bloom Raskin was withdrawn from consideration Tuesday, President Joe Biden is now putting forward another nominee to the Federal Reserve. It became apparent that she does not have sufficient votes in the Senate to confirm her nomination.

“It’s an important role and he will nominate someone to fill the position,” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said at a Wednesday press briefing. Psaki didn’t give a time frame for the announcement of a new nominee.
