(Reuters] – Pentagon requests 61 F-35 stealth fighter planes. Lockheed Martin Corp (NYSE 🙂 will have 33 more budgets than planned in the next fiscal year, Bloomberg News reports. This was a report that Bloomberg News filed Wednesday. Bloomberg News cited people who were familiar with this matter.

Reuters did not receive any comment from Lockheed Martin or the Pentagon.

Before the bell, shares in the weapons manufacturer, whose largest customer is the U.S. Government, fell 1.1%.

F-35 fighter plane is among the most advanced in the world. It is sensitively exported and sold only to close allies of the United States.

Reuters reports that Joe Biden, President of the United States, is likely to request a $770 billion defense budget from Congress in order to help modernize the military.

It is anticipated that the budget will benefit Lockheed and other major U.S. defense contractors. Northrop Grumman Corp (NYSE -) and General Dynamics Corp (NYSE –).
