BERLIN, (Reuters) – New European car registrations declined further in February after hitting a new record low in January. Supply chain disruptions continue to harm the sector throughout the region. Data from the region’s carmaker association, (ACEA), showed this on Thursday.

According to ACEA data, the number of vehicles that were registered in the European Union (Britain) and European Free Trade Associations (EFTA), fell by 5.4% to 804 028, marking the eighth month in a row of decreases.

The number of car registrations in each country varied greatly. There were declines in Italy and France of 22% and 13%, respectively. However, there was growth in Spain and Germany of 6.6%, 3.2%, and 2.2%, respectively.
