For April delivery, Gold Futures rose 1.77% to $1.943.00 per troy an ounce. In commodities trading, crude oil rose by 8.0%, or 7.60, to $102.64 per barrel. The May Brent oil contract saw an 8.64%, or 8.47, increase to $106.49 per barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.86 to 1.11 while EUR/GBP rose 0.75 to 0.85.
