U.S. judge rejects Shkreli’s request to delay $64.6 million payment pending appeal -Breaking

Shkreli is currently appealing to the Federal Trade Commission regarding whether he breached antitrust law and sharply increased the price of a life-saving medication.
U.S. District Judge Denise Cote of Manhattan had in January ruled for the FTC, seven states and Shkreli. He was accused of illegally pushing Daraprim’s price to $750 per tablet, from $17.50 in 2015, while keeping rivals off the market.
Shkreli is currently in prison and was barred by the judge from working in the pharmaceutical industry. Shkreli was also barred by another judge from being an officer or director in a publicly traded firm.
