A phishing attack costing $1.7million in digital collectibles was carried out last month on users of OpenSea, the NFT market leader. Malicious actors now have moved to Rare Bears NFT, where users lost NFTs as well as other crypto assets in an attack that cost $790,000.

Rare Bears’ team discovered that the hacker exploited the discord group’s weak security to send a link that was phishing.

The NFT collection, which consists of 2,400 cartoon-themed bears on , was created by New Zealand-based digital “Enox” and only went public last week.
