UK consumer spending in line with pre-pandemic level

LONDON (Reuters] – British shoppers’ purchases of credit and debit cards fell slightly from the week of March 10, matching its average in February 2020. The weekly Bank of England CHAPS data, published Friday by the Office for National Statistics, showed that the UK.
