WASHINGTON (Reuters] – An IMF spokesperson said that the International Monetary Fund’s executive committee will meet on March 25, to review Argentina’s request for a deal on its debt.

The Senate of Argentina voted Thursday to approve the $45 billion IMF debt agreement. This converts the agreement into law, and ensures that Argentina can avoid another default.

IMF’s board still has to approve the deal. Gerry Rice, IMF spokesperson, stated in a statement, “The legislative approval is an important sign that Argentina is committed policies that encourage sustainable and inclusive growth.”
