DETROIT – Ford Motor’sThe 2022 F-150 Lightning pickup has an estimated electric range of up 320 miles according to estimates by the Environmental Protection Agency released Monday.

Ford had originally predicted that the top range of an all-electric pickup would reach 20 miles. It is now just 20 miles above what the 2022 has. RivianR1T is still below the 2022 mark GMC Hummer EV.

Rivian R1T equipped with an optional larger battery pack can travel up to 314 mi. GMC Hummer Edition 1 pick-up is rated at a GM-estimated 339. They are currently the only two versions.

Rivian, GM and GM have both indicated that the pickups’ longer range options will be offered at later times. This includes an R1T which has a range greater than 400 miles and a Hummer pickup of 350 miles. The models mentioned above aren’t currently available.

The F-150 Lightning is less efficient than the Hummer in terms of range, but it has more. The combined rating for the Lightning and R1T is 70 MPGe on the highway, which gives them an equivalent range in terms of miles per gallon. A rating of 47 MPGe is given to the Hummer, which is 33% lower than other pickups. according to Car and Driver.

The F-150 Lightning has a range between 230 and 300 miles. Depending on the model of the vehicle, it can travel 320 or 330 miles.

Ford expects to begin serial production of F-150 Lightning Lightning within the next few days, and then deliver it. beginning in the spring.An F-150 lightning for work will cost around $40,000; a more expensive model, which will be about $90,000.
