Nike Earnings, Revenue Beat in Q3 -Breaking

Investing.com – Nike (NYSE:) Monday’s third quarter report showed revenue exceeding expectations and beating analysts’ predictions.

Nike posted earnings per share (EPS) of $0.87 for revenue of $10.87B. Investing.com polled analyst to predict EPS of $0.7158 based on $10.63B in revenue.

Nike shares have fallen 21% since the start of the year. However, they are still below 27.40% of its 52-week high of $179.10 on November 5, 2021. They are under-performing the S&P Global 100 which is down 5.02% from the start of the year.

After-hours trading saw Nike share prices rise 5.81% following the news.

Nike joins other large Consumer Discretionary sectors that have reported this month

Nike’s earnings beat was achieved by Home Depot, who on February 22 reported EPS at $3.21 per share on $35.72B in revenue. This compares to the forecasts of EPS at $3.18 for revenue of $34.88B.

Alibaba ADR beat all expectations with third quarter earnings per share of $16.87 on $242.58B in revenue, as compared to $15.93 forecasted for $246.3B.
