BERLIN, (Reuters) – Germany’s ruling coalition revealed on Thursday a set of measures that will help families cope with the rising costs of energy due to Russia’s invasion Ukraine. It includes a petrol subsidy and diesel subsidy for commuters.

It is not possible to determine the exact amount of this package which includes tax reductions for families and workers as well as diversifying energy imports. This was stated by Christian Lindner, Finance Minister.

However, he said that it should not exceed the first tax relief package recently approved and costing approximately 13 billion Euros ($14.28 Billion).

($1 = 0.9104 euros)
