WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell stated on Thursday that he could not support Ketanji Jackson’s nomination to the Supreme Court.
McConnell spoke on the Senate floor, as the Senate Judiciary Committee was holding its fourth and last day of hearings about Jackson. Jackson, if confirmed by the Senate Judiciary Committee, will be the first Black woman appointed to the High Court.
