Binance and President Bukele meet in El Salvador for a meeting to promote Bitcoin adoptionEl Salvador, the first country to adopt as legal tender, is seeking support from the world’s biggest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, on how to foster its bitcoin adoption.
Changpeng Zhao to meet President Bukele
Nayib Bukele, El Salvador’s President, announced that he was going to meet Chanpeng Zhao (founder and CEO of Binance) on Thursday March 24.
His meeting occurred amid news about the El Salvador Bitcoin Bond. Many wondered if the bond was being discussed. The President of the United States, Benjamin Bukele, clarified this via Twitter (NYSE 🙂
He stated that Bitfinex would issue the bond and Binance wouldn’t. President Bukele tweeted;

Bukele stated that he met with Chanpeng Zhao to talk about other topics with him, not just the bitcoin bond.
The meeting is said to revolve around El Salvador’s implementation of bitcoin as a legal tender. This Central American nation is looking for help in fostering bitcoin adoption.
CZ was currently visiting El Salvador with Milena Mayorga, the Salvadoran Ambassador to the United States.
