Krafton Partners with Solana Labs to Develop NFT Games -Breaking
[ad_1]
South Korean game developer Krafton has signed a deal with Labs to include NFTs in Krafton’s award winning battle royale ‘PUBG‘ (PlayerUnkown’s Battleground).
According to press releases, the partnership was established to help develop and operate blockchain- and NFT-based services and games.
Hyung Chul Park, head of Krafton’s Web 3.0 division, said:
“Krafton will continuously look for ways to work closely with blockchain companies like Solana Labs as we work toward establishing our Web 3.0 ecosystem. Solana is the Web 3.0 ecosystem’s best and most innovative technology. Through this cooperation, Krafton will acquire the insight needed to accelerate its investment in and output of blockchain-based experiences.”
It’s not surprising that NFTs see little acceptance in traditional gaming.
The Flipside
- PUBG consistently has more than 10,000,000 active players and is ranked as one of the best-known games on Steam. Currently, Epic Games’ ‘Fortnite’ is the only game more popular than PUBG in the battle-royal genre.
