(Reuters) -Taylor Hawkins (NASDAQ:) Foo Fighters drummer, 50 years old, was announced by the band late Friday.

The cause of death was not given by the band.

Variety stated that the band was planning to perform in Bogota (Colombia) on Friday, the day before his death.

In a Twitter, the Foo Fighters said that Taylor Hawkins had died unexpectedly. “His infectious laughter and musical spirit will always be part of our collective memory.”

There were many tributes.

Hawkins, “was truly an extraordinary person and a remarkable musician. Ozzy Osbourne, a British singer, tweeted that his heartfelt condolences, love, and sympathy go to Hawkins’ wife and children. See you on the other side.”

Nickelback from Canada said that they were “utterly disbelieved” by Taylor Hawkins’ news. The Canadian rockers Nickelback said that they were in “utter disbelief” at the news of Taylor Hawkins’ death.

Foo Fighters was established in 1994 by Dave Grohl who is the drummer of Nirvana’s grunge rock band Nirvana. This came after Kurt Cobain died.

Nate Mendel is the bass player and Pat Smear is guitarist. They have released 10 studio albums that feature singles like “Everlong,” “Times Like These” and “Learn To Fly”.

The group has won 12 Grammy awards and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2021.

KISS’s members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley mourned Hawkins’s death as did Guns N’Roses, Slash, and other musicians.
