European Stocks Higher; Ukraine/Russia Peace Talks Boost Sentiment -Breaking

Investing.com. European stock market traded higher on Tuesday as investors focused on the launch of new peace talks between Turkey and Russia.
By 4:10 AM ET (0810 GMT), the in Germany traded 1.2% higher, the in France rose 1.7% and the U.K.’s climbed 0.9%.
For the first time in over two weeks, Russian and Ukrainian negotiators have met in Istanbul to discuss. The conflict is now at its second month.
According to United Nations High Commissioner For Human Rights, the war has taken a severe toll on civilians. There have been 2,975 deaths since conflict started.
Even with the gains in stock markets, it seems unlikely that there will be a breakthrough. Kyiv seeks a ceasefire but does not compromise on sovereignty or territory, while Russia makes territorial demands. This includes Crimea which Moscow annexed and seized in 2014.
Wally Adeyemo (Deputy U.S. Treasury Secret) said Tuesday that Russia and the United States plan to intensify their pressure on Vladimir Putin. They will impose new sanctions against more Russian sectors, which are crucial to sustaining its invasion in Ukraine.
As a result of the ongoing sanctions, the forward-looking declined to -15.5 from an earlier revised -8.5 for April. This is due in part to rising commodity prices and war in Ukraine.
The Bank of England will publish their latest document later in the session. This information is important as the U.K central bank keeps increasing interest rates.
This is corporate news Barclays (LON:) stock fell 4.5% after one of the U.K. bank’s top investors offloaded stock roughly equivalent to a 3% stake in the lender.
After the U.K. energy company raised its full year earnings guidance to 0.7%, the stock of SSE (LON 🙂 rose 0.7%. The increase was helped by the rise in gas prices due to the war in Ukraine.
Sanofi (NASDAQ) Stock fell 1.4% despite French healthcare company raising sales targets for Dupixent eczema product. This was due to the lack of COVID-19 vaccination.
After reports that showed oil prices had rebounded, Tuesday saw an increase in oil prices Saudi Aramco (SE:), the world’s largest oil exporter, will likely boost pricing of its main crude variety to a record, suggesting a bullish outlook.
Crude prices had slumped Monday on fears that a surge in COVID-19 cases in China will hit demand from the world’s top crude importer, with the city of Shanghai remaining under a two-stage, nine-day lockdown.
Futures were trading 1.1% higher at $107.11 per barrel by 3:10 ET while contracts rose 1.4% to $110.98. Monday saw both benchmark contracts lose 7%
