CBOS (Central Bank of Sudan) advises against cryptocurrency use as the bank considers it to be dangerous. CBOS included financial crime and electronic piracy in their list of possible risks.

According to the central bank, crypto should not be used due to legal issues. It explained that these assets cannot be classified as either money or private money.

It was tweeted by many news outlets, including Bloomberg crypto. The tweet became a report.

Reports also show that Sudan’s economy is in serious trouble since the military coup in October. Inflation soared 360% to 2021, according to these reports. The inflation rate reached 260% in February. In other terms, the central bank’s warning might be in response to the higher use of crypto during this crisis.

Bitcoin’s price hit $47K. Bitcoin also has a market capitalization of nearly $900 billion, and an average 7-day low/high price of $41K to $57K. Bitcoin prices have risen 4.8% over the past 48-hours.

As for the downfall that happened in the crypto market during the last couple of months, Michael Sonnenshein, CEO of Grayscale Investments, said it has been a “choppy start” for crypto and also other asset classes.

So I think certainly, it’s an exciting morning in the crypto community to see that yearlong, so far, of losses erased, and also seeing Bitcoin break out above that psychological $45,000 level.
