Chinese local reports, which cite BYD Company (OTC) investor meeting minutes show that company’s cumulative undelivered order totals have exceeded the 400,000 mark. These numbers are increasing. BYD projects that its sales will surpass the 1.5 million mark in 2022, based on these numbers. BYD anticipates reaching its target of 2,000,000 sales if the supply chains improve.

BYD indicated that prices for raw materials are slowing in the current trend. It will have no impact on the sale of energy vehicles in this year’s market if the lithium carbonate price remains the same.

BYD sold 603,783 NEVs in 2021. This was an increase of 218.3% over 2020. It also included 593,745 electric passenger cars. BYD stated to investors that it was expecting to sell as many NEVs in 2022, as reported by BYD late last year.
