Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

Frankfurt closed with the index falling 1.45% and the index declining 1.08%. The index also fell by 0.41%.

They were the top performers at the session Siemens Healthineers AG (DE:), rose by 2.72%, or 1.50 points, to trade at 56.70 at close. Meanwhile, HelloFresh SE RWE AG St O.N. and 44.65 (DE:) were up 0.97%, or 0.43 point. In late trade, (DE:) was at 38.65 with a gain of 0.76% (0.29 points).

These were the worst performers of the session. Continental AG O.N. (DE:) fell 6.63%, or 4.79 points, to trade at 67.42 by the close. Delivery Hero AG (DE:), fell 4.35%, or 1.94 points, to finish at 42.67 Heidelbergcement AG O.N. (DE): The drop in O.N. was 4.26% (2.38 points), to 53.44

The top performers on the MDAX were K&S AG (DE:) which rose 6.78% to 27.39, Rheinmetall AG (DE:), which rose 2.72%, to settle at 191.05 Aurubis AG (DE): Closed at 110.30 with a gain of 2.37%

They were among the most disappointing. Hypoport AG (DE:), which fell 6.01% to 353.20 in late-trade, Commerzbank AG O.N. O.N.

These were the top performers of the TecDAX Nordex SE O.N. (DE:), which rose 8.99% at 15.76. Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG(DE:), which was up 5.4% to settle in at 71.90. Morphosys AG O.N. AG O.N.

Jenoptik AG, DE: was the worst performer. It fell 4.30% to 28,50 in late trading. Aixtron SE (DE:), which fell 3.53% to close at 20.25, and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:), which fell 2.92% at 31.58 by the end.

The Frankfurt Stock Exchange saw falling stocks surpass advancing stock by 455 to 237, while 74 ended the day unchanged.

For April delivery, Gold Futures rose 1.09% (20.90) to $1933.10 an ounce. In commodities trading, crude oil rose by 2.89%, or 3.01, to $107.25 per barrel. The June Brent oil contract gained 2.86%, or 3.08, to trade at $110.79 per barrel.

EUR/USD rose 0.60% from 1.12 to 1.12 while EUR/GBP was unchanged at 0.25 to 0.85.

At 97.93, the US Dollar Index Futures fell 0.52%.
