Biden will give remarks on Thursday on efforts to lower gas prices

WASHINGTON (Reuters] – Thursday’s remarks by President Joe Biden on the actions of his administration to decrease gasoline prices in the United States will be made, the White House announced. The White House stated that the increase was due to Russia’s invasion Ukraine and the sanctions on Moscow.

Biden’s Democratic Party has made the high gas prices an issue in their quest to hold on to control of Congress for the November midterm elections.

Biden’s remarks will be delivered by the White House at 1:30 PM. ET (1730 GMT) on “his administration’s actions to reduce the impact of Putin’s price hike on energy prices and lower gas prices at the pump for American families.” The statement did not provide additional information.
