Ryanair CEO says could live without Boeing 737 MAX 10 deal -Breaking

BRUSSELS, (Reuters) – Ryanair’s chief executive said he would not buy the Boeing (NYSE) 737 MAX 10 after a price dispute. However, he would be meeting the planemaker in April for more talks.

“We need to wait for Boeing’s headspace to discuss MAX 10s. They’re currently dealing with backlogs of deliveries, 777 problems, design delays, certification delays, and delays for the MAX 10s. Michael O’Leary, Reuters’s managing director said that they have a number of issues.

Although there have been many occasions in my life when I’ve missed the market, it is possible at any time. However, you should know that we can still be content in our current situation. We have 210 deliveries of aircraft to make over the next five-years,” he told me.

Boeing representatives did not immediately respond to our request for comment.

Responding to Ryanair criticisms over its potential order for 200 more jets at a higher price, US company said it was committed to Ryanair and will continue to discipline commercial decisions.
