SAO PAULO, Brazil – Aliansce Sonae, a Brazilian mall operator, said Friday that a group representing rival BR Malls shareholders had asked to vote for a possible tie-up.

Aliansce Sonae has already had two tie up offers denied by the BR Malls Board. She stated that the asset managers Truxt Investimentos Oceana Investimentos & Miles Capital now want a shareholder meeting for a vote on a deal. They argue that these matters should be determined by shareholders and not the board.
