Nordstrom on Monday introduced it’s streamlining management of its struggling Rack enterprise with that of its full-line malls, as two executives on the off-price offshoot retire and firm veterans reclaim oversight.
Scott Meden, Rack chief advertising officer, and Geevy S.Okay. Thomas, Rack president, will each be shifting on, the division retailer chain said in a release.
The corporate has appointed Ken Worzel, present chief working officer at Nordstrom, and Jamie Nordstrom, present president of Nordstrom shops, to newly created roles as chief buyer officer and chief shops officer, respectively.
Nordstrom stated that by centralizing its buyer technique beneath one chief and by consolidating the accountability for its brick-and-mortar shops, it can “higher align operational oversight with the corporate’s Nearer to You technique.”
“This new management construction is reflective of a pure evolution that comes immediately from our focus to serve clients higher throughout all channels and banners,” stated Nordstrom Chief Government Officer Erik Nordstrom, in a press release.
