France stocks lower at close of trade; CAC 40 down 1.28% -Breaking

Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The index fell 1.28% at the Paris close, and the decline was 1.28% by the time it closed.

Sanofi SA, which gained 1.69% (or 1.61 points) to close at 96.98. Meanwhile, Pernod Ricard PA:: SA gained 1.68% (or 3.35) points to finish at 202.20, while Eurofins Scientific SE(PA:), was up 1.66% or 1.52 to 93.00 in trade late.

They were also the session’s worst performers Renault SA (PA:) dropped 6.18% or 1.51 point to trade at 23.00 after the close. Societe Generale SA (PA.:) lost 5.58% (or 1.34 points) to finish at 22.66. STMicroelectronics Nevada (PA.:) suffered a drop of 5.30% (or 2.05 points) to 36.62.

Top performers in the SBF 120 competition were Neoen SA (PA:), which rose 2.45% – 40.98, Sartorius Stedim Biotech SA, (PA:), which rose 2.33% and settled at 395.80 Remy Cointreau (PA:), which gained 2.33% and closed at 193.60

They were among the most disappointing. Faurecia (PA) was 6.88% lower at 22.61 by late trade Elis Services SA (PA:), which fell by 6.33%, to 12.43; and Renault SA(PA:), which dropped 6.18% at 23.00.

By 389 to 174, falling stocks outnumbered advancing on the Paris Stock Exchange. 85 was left unchanged.

Sanofi SA shares rose to five-year highs (PA:), a rise of 1.69%, or 1.61 to 96.6.98.

The June delivery of Gold Futures was lower by 0.55%, or 10.55, to $1.923.45 per troy ounce. In commodities trading, crude oil fell 0.39 or 0.38 to $102.89 per barrel in May, while June Brent oil fell 0.36 or 0.39, to $107.14 per barrel.

EUR/USD dropped 0.51% to 1.09 and EUR/GBP remained unchanged at 0.27% to 0.83.

US Dollar Index Futures were up 0.433% to 99.39
