The highest-paying U.S. internships in 2022, according to Glassdoor

Research by Glassdoor found that Roblox has the best-paying internships, with interns earning nearly $10,000 per month. Roblox took NVIDIA’s top-paid internship company, graphics chipmaker NVIDIA off the top.

Glassdoor has released their annual report on Tuesday. 25 Highest Paying Internships list. Glassdoor examined all internship records from U.S. students between February 14th, 2021 and February 13th, 2022 to find the top-paying companies. If companies offer similar monthly median salaries, the best ranking is given to the company that has the most salary reports.

Glassdoor ranked Uber second, Capital One third and Capital One fourth, both with the same average monthly income of $8.333.

According to Glassdoor’s research here are the 10 best-paying internships for 2022.

Glassdoor also discovered that full-time workers are more likely to be employed as a result of this research. prefer remote workIn 2022, the outlook for interns is different. Because of the Covid-19 Pandemic, many opportunities for hands-on learning that prepares interns for work were eliminated. Many of these made working in the post-pandemic era a miserable experience. 

In their Glassdoor reviews, 58% mentioned that remote work was a problem during summer 2020. The distaste of remote internships increased in 2021, where 70% of interns said that remote work was bad. The report found that many interns had difficulty connecting and communicating with colleagues in remote environments.

Lauren Thomas, Glassdoor’s economist, says that interns should be able to make connections. This is something businesses need to do.

Thomas tells CNBC Make It that today’s interns are digital natives but also want mentorship and connections to other interns. Even if interns are not able to be present in person, companies should design strong mentoring programs.

Thomas believes that national internships have experienced a transformation in the past two years.

Two years ago tech companies were accounted for less than halfGlassdoor lists 68% high-paying tech companies among the top 100 companies. It’s a reminder that even in this recovering job market, companies from tech to finance to consulting are willing to pay a pretty penny for quality talent – at all levels of experience.”

Thomas believes that the most lucrative industries are tech and finance, while creative sectors pay lower wages.

“The highest paying industries for internships include tech, accounting & legal, aerospace & defense and finance, while the lowest-paying include hospitality, arts & entertainment and travel & tourism,” she says. According to her, the Highest Paying Internships rankings are similar to those for full-time workers. It indicates that interns in high-paying industries receive strong pay.
