France stocks lower at close of trade; CAC 40 down 2.21% -Breaking

Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

Paris closed with the index losing 2.17% and the index falling 2.21%.

Eurofins Scientific SE was the best performer of the session, rising 2.39% or 2.22 point to close at 95.22. Meanwhile, Carrefour SA (PA 🙂 gained 0.43 point or 2.27% to finish at 19.39. Sanofi SA(PA 🙂 was up 1.44 points or 1.40 to 98.38 in the late trade.

Schneider Electric SE, which lost 5.15% (or 7.82 points) to close at 144.14 was among the worst-performing sessions. Kering SA (PA) fell 4.70%, or 27.50 point to reach 557.10 Teleperformance SE (PAT:) fell 4.53% to 332.90, or 15.80 point.

Eurofins Scientific SE was the top performer on SBF 120, rising 2.39% at 95.22. Carrefour SA rose 2.27% at 19.39. Gaztransportet Technigaz SA rose 1.52% at close at 106.60.

They were among the most disappointing. Mcphy Energy (PA:), which fell 6.25% to 19.12 during late trade Ubisoft Entertainment (PA:), which fell 6.00% to settle for 39.94 Aperam SA (AS:), which fell 5.42% to 36.32 by the end.

For June delivery, Gold Futures fell 0.13% to $1.925.00 an troy ounce. In commodities trading, crude oil delivery for May dropped 2.53%, or 2.58, to $99.38 per barrel. The June Brent oil contract, however, fell 2.3%, or 2.49, to trade at $104.15 per barrel.

EUR/USD was steady at 1.09. EUR/GBP was constant at 0.04 to 0.83.
