Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The index dropped 1.93% and the index lost 1.89% at the Frankfurt close.

RWE AG ST O.N. was the best performer of the session. (DE:), rose 1.13% (0.46 points) to trade at 41.08 by the close. Meanwhile, Henkel & Co KGaA AG Pref (DE:) added 0.88% or 0.52 points to end at 59.54 and Merck KGaA (DE:) was up 0.76% or 1.45 points to 191.70 in late trade.
