(Reuters) – Evernow Telehealth Startup has received $28.5 Million in Funding from a group of celebrities, including Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Evernow is a website that focuses exclusively on women in their menopause and perimenopause phases. It connects these women to doctors and prescribes drugs.

According to the company, venture capital firm New Enterprise Associates led the Series A financing round along with 8VC and Refactor Capital.

Retired soccer player Abby Wambach is another example of an angel investor. Morgan Stanley Evernow stated that Glennon Doyle and Carla Harris are both on the NYSE.

Grand View Research in the United States estimates that there is a global market of menopause products worth $14.7 billion. This figure will increase at an annual compound growth rate 5.7% through 2028.

Chief Executive Officer and founding Alicia Jackson said, “We see a tremendous amount of opportunity in the terms of how much it is possible to do for women aged 40 or above.”

Jackson stated, “These women have amazing spending power and are at the top of their careers, yet their health remains so unsupported.”

It is a 3-year old startup that offers FDA-approved hormone therapy such as estrogen patches and patches. The website also provides support services. The Evernow subscription plan costs between $75-$129 per month depending on the prescription of the member.

Generation X is our customer. “They’re very online and don’t want three hours wait to see a doctor.
