REUTERS/Vladimir Konstantinov/File PhotoWASHINGTON (Reuters] – As it tries to put more pressure on Moscow, Minsk and other countries with a broader range of export restrictions against Russia or Belarus, the Biden administration has increased their curbs on Russian and Belarusian imports.
The Commerce Department posted a notice to the Federal Register on Friday stating that it will require Russians and Belarusians for a special license to purchase a variety of U.S. goods. It also pledged not to grant those licenses. This includes fertilizer and pipe valves as well as ball bearings.
According to the administration, items that are made in America with U.S. equipment will require an American license. The administration intends to refuse.
