Food prices surge to new record high in March, U.N. agency says -Breaking

PARIS (Reuters) – World food prices soared to new records in March due to the conflict in Ukraine, according the U.N. Food Agency on Friday.
Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO’s) average food price index tracks most internationally traded foods commodities. It was 159.3 last month, compared to an upwardly revised 141.4 in February.
The previous February number was 140.7. This was an all-time record.
