© Reuters. France stock prices lower after close of trade. CAC 40 is down 0.2%Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
The index fell 0.2% at the Paris close, while it lost 0.2%.
ArcelorMittal SA was the best performer of the session, rising 2.27% or 0.65 point to trade at 29.28 by the close. LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE – (PA) gained 1.77%, or 11.00 points, to trade at 630.90. Thales Late trade saw a 1.67% increase in the PA:, or 2.05 points, to 125.05
Sanofi SA(PA:) was the worst performer of the session, falling 2.82% (or 3.00 points) to trade at 103.22 by the closing. Eurofins Scientific SE, (PA:), fell 2.2% or 2.28 to finish at 96.18 Societe Generale SA (PA) fell 1.85%, or 0.43 points, to 22.52
CGG SA (PA) was the top performer on SBF 120, rising 7.49% to 1.06. Rexel (PA) which was at 18.66 a higher level of 3.58%. Eramet SA (PA) closed at 154.20 after gaining 3.56%.
They were among the most disappointing. Biomerieux SA (PA.:), which fell 5.61% to 95.20 in late-trade, Casino Guichard Perrachon SA, (PA:), which lost 4.01% in order to settle at 15.07 Valneva (PA) which dropped 3.67% and was at 15.22 at closing
By 336 to 220 on the Paris Stock Exchange, falling stocks outnumbered advancing by 82. 82 was unchanged.
Thales’ shares rose to record highs. They were up by 1.67%, or 2.05 to 125.
The implied volatility index of CAC 40 options was at a 52-week low of 0.00%, or 18.96.
The June delivery of Gold Futures was at $1,975.40 per troy ounce. This is an increase of 1.40%. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which rose 6.82% to $100.72 a bar in May, and the June Brent crude oil contract, which rose 6.33% to $104.71/bar to trade at $104.71.
EUR/USD was steady at 1.08 USD, but EUR/GBP was unaffected by 0.322% to 0.83 EUR/GBP.
US Dollar Index Futures were up 0.2% at 100.20
