Gunman shoots 10 in New York subway car -officials -Breaking

(Reuters) – On Tuesday morning, a gunman dressed in a gas mask opened fire on a New York subway train. The attack left 16 injured and caused chaos for the commuters, according to officials.

“There were people screaming for medical assistance. This was a frightening moment. “It was scary, everybody was packed together, but I did not know what would happen until the end.”

“We will not allow New Yorkers to be terrorized, even by a single individual.”

“It feels like you’re not safe. You feel you’re not protected. We have a bunch of cops around, but you feel like they’re not doing anything.”

“I was able to see a sixteen-year-old boy, sitting on the stairs coming out of the station. He had a bullet in one knee.”

An individual riding on the train donned what looked like a gas mask. He then pulled out a canister from his bag and began to open it. “The train started to smoke at this point. He lit the flames.”

“The reaction of the passengers was terrifying because they were trying to get into our car away from something that was happening in the back of the train. Although we didn’t all know what was going on, people started running and were looking at each other.
