Omicron sub-variant BA.2 makes up 85.9% of COVID variants in U.S.

(Reuters) – The Omicron sub-variant BA.2 is believed to account for 85.9% in coronavirus variants across the United States, as per the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Tuesday statement.

The resurgence and rise in COVID-19 related cases has raised concern that another wave of the disease could hit the United States. But, the experts at the nation’s national health center believe this unlikely.
