American electric vehicle startup Fisker (NYSE 🙂 established its Hyderabad headquarters to begin operations in India. Already, local recruiting is underway.

Fisker chairman and CEO Henrik Fisker declared that India is both an opportunity for Fisker and a boost to its global engineering capabilities. We have begun local hiring in India. Our new Hyderabad team will be operational within weeks and working on several product programs. We will be able to launch Fisker Ocean in India with the help of our talent pool.

Fisker Hyderabad will be the second headquarters worldwide. This office will concentrate on software development and data analytics as well as machine learning.

Fisker stated that Hyderabad is a key strategic asset in the international race for top technical talent. “I also want to thank the State Telangana because they allowed us to set up our first operations quickly and gave them their support.” We’re excited to tap into India’s expanding talent pool.

Fisker announced that it will begin production on the Fisker Ocean, an SUV, starting Nov. 17th, 2022 at Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria.

Fisker shares have fallen 23% over the past year.
