Elon Musk ‘not sure’ he’ll be able to buy Twitter

Billionaire TeslaElon Musk admitted that Thursday was a “not sure” day for him to be able purchase the Tesla Model S. TwitterAfter revealing a $43 Billion offer, he made another announcement.

Musk’s comments were made at the TED2022 conference, Vancouver hours after he disclosed in a regulatory filing that he had offered $54.20 per shares to purchase the platform. Twitter confirmed the bid was received, however its board needs to review it. which values shares much lower than the $70 they reached last summer. Musk said that the offer was his final and best.

Musk indicated that, should he be able to purchase the company and turn it into a private corporation, he’d like as many shareholders to remain as permitted under the structure. He said that even though he’s the world’s wealthiest man, he couldn’t afford to buy the company. However, he stated, “I don’t care about economics.”

Chris Anderson asked Musk if he knew of a plan B if his offer to TED was turned down. Musk responded, “there is.”

He refused to give more details.
