Prominent Democratic Party activist gets 30 years in ‘party and play’ drug deaths -Breaking

LOS ANGELES, (Reuters) – Two men he invited to his home in suburban Los Angeles for sex were convicted by the Democratic Party of giving them fatal methamphetamine doses. They were sentenced to 30 years imprisonment.

Ed Buck (67) was found guilty of nine crimes in a U.S. District Court Trial last July. He was accused of soliciting men to have sex. Prosecutors claimed he either gave drugs out or injected the drugs into his partners.

Two victims died of overdoses from Buck’s West Hollywood apartment. Gemmel Moore (26) on July 27, 2017, Timothy Dean (55) in January 2019).

According to a U.S. Justice Department press release, Buck was sentenced to 360 months imprisonment by a federal judge.

The statement stated that a hearing for restitution in this case had been scheduled for May 16th.

At trial, the prosecution claimed that Buck, a wealthy political donor, targeted vulnerable homeless men who were drug dependent or other types of addicts for “party and play” sessions. Buck didn’t testify at his trial in his defense.

He was found guilty on two counts for distribution methamphetamine leading to death and four counts for distribution methamphetamine. There were also two charges of maintaining drug-involved premises. Two counts of inducing travel in interstate commerce in prostitution.
