DeSci: Can crypto improve scientific research?

This insider story tells the DeSci history. DeSci is a movement that consists of citizen scientists, open access scientific research, and crowd-sourced peer reviews funded by cryptocurrency. The DeSci Movement will grow rapidly in 2022.

Decentralized science was a reality at ETHDenver, February 2012.

The experience was very similar to those of the early days in crypto. Like-minded individuals met, then crashed at one another’s rented locations. It was respectful to discuss open research as well as ideologies. The DeSci panels attracted a lot of people with renewed enthusiasm for solving difficult problems. It was a heated discussion. Many people committed to decentralized science. DeSci, however, is still in its infancy and has yet to be tested.
